I had a neighbor that was forever running a chainsaw at strange times. Maybe this is what he was doing.

No, but it's amazing what starts seeming like a good idea after you've lived in the woods for awhile. I was always concerned about the chain coming off and ripping my face off, personally.

I was interviewed at Microsoft by a guy wearing socks with sandals shortly after moving out here. It was a terrible interview... part of it was the four hours of sleep I got the night before, but the sandals were totally freaking me out, too.
