This was a weird movie. I had to wait awhile to let it sink in.

Throughout the movie I recognized various pieces of electronics that I owned during the 80s. I assume they spent awhile in thrift shops finding it all. That was good for chuckles.

The guy who played Napoleon pulls off a perfect mix of geekiness and surliness, which anybody who was an outsider in high school (I certainly was) will appreciate. It's fun to watch him do his own thing, apparently unfazed by the abuse he gets from jocks, or the rejection he gets from girls.

There is also a hilarious subplot with his brother who meets a girl online named LaShawnduh... his transformation after she comes to visit is priceless.

This movie has no real plot (maybe they couldn't afford one), but was fun to watch. Worth a rental, although maybe not for everybody.

I hated this movie so much. I thought G was kidding when he told me to watch it because it was so funny. I guess some cultural difference wouldn't let me appreciate the humor. Instead, it got on my nerves. Later on, I talked to other "non-Americans" and they basically felt the same way I did.
