Peter O'Toole, Mariel Hemingway, and Virginia Madsen were in this 1985 release about a British professor obsessed with cloning his dead wife.

This movie purports to be about love but appears to largely be about sex. It was also made before producers tried to make everything PG-13 -- there are boobs in this movie. There's a shower scene that involves actual showering with nudity, and you don't have to pause it to catch a couple frames of nipple. It was very refreshing.

But enough of that. Mariel Hemingway declares early in the movie that she is a nymphomaniac, but unfortunately this is not adequately explored. (She does flash her boobs a couple times, but that would make her an exhibitionist, which isn't the same thing.)

Virginia Madsen, on the other hand, is more reserved and is really something to watch. Whether she's in a pair of jeans or all soaped up in ths shower, she's glorious. She was recently in Sideways and is still pretty damn sexy 20 years later. Amazing.

The professor, in case you are wondering, does not end up cloning his dead wife. But he does end up with a 19 year old nymphomaniac. Which, speaking from personal experience, really isn't all that bad.
