The guy who played Phoebe's retarded brother on Friends is also in it, playing Sky Captain's retarded (ok, not really) assistant in charge of gadgets.

A visually stunning movie which nontheless suffers from a terminal lack of female eye candy. It's really not fair to put these two women in it and not exploit them in some way. Somehow even giving Angelina a leather suit and an English accent (the combination of which should be incredibly hot) does nothing.

I think part of the trouble here is that the whole thing was shot in front of blue screen and then the backgrounds were added in later. So a lot of the acting came off kind of flat. And it's fine that the whole movie LOOKED like a 1930s movie, but the people in it acted like they were in a 1930s movie as well.

Anyway, interesting movie to watch, but only for the effects.
