I have no idea what these guys are talking about. I've never heard of the Iron man trailer before.

You will. It is coming out next month. :) (The movie, that is.)

But, was it a TV show before?.

This movie looks like a blockbuster in the making. I hope it does well.

Nah, they're making a joke about them adapting a movie from the trailer, because the trailer has been out for months and months already.

I think it was a comic book, and it was also a Black Sabbath song -- not sure if the comic or the song came first (does anyone know)?

I think it should do well... it has Robert Downey Jr playing a sleazeball AND lots of explosions.

Hard to see how they could mess this up.

Iron Man was a comic book for years. I don't know if it still is or not. It used to be very popular when I was a kid. *I'm only 45 so it's not like those comic books have crumbled to dust yet...

I'm not sure that settles which came first though. As you can tell "Iron Man" was written pretty early on:

You mean did the Black Sabbath piece or the comic book come first? The comic book was first by a long shot.

From the Wikipedia:

This article is about the comic book character. For other uses, see Iron Man (disambiguation).
I
Iron Man (Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark) is a fictional comic book superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee, writer Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963). (end)

So Ozzy Ozborn had a source for his musings.

I'm not sure that's "by a long shot" -- Black Sabbath was formed in 1968. But looks like you're right, the comic book was around first.

Guess Ozzy was a fan. :)

I still think it's remarkable that Black Sabbath was writing stuff like THIS while Woodstock was going on.
